Even as we coordinate more with Facebook in the months ahead, your encrypted messages stay private and no one else can read them. We won’t post or share your Whats App number with others, including on Facebook, and we still won't sell, share, or give your phone number to advertisers.

But by coordinating more with Facebook, we'll be able to do things like track basic metrics about how often people use our services and better fight spam on Whats App.

Today, we’re updating Whats App’s terms and privacy policy for the first time in four years, as part of our plans to test ways for people to communicate with businesses in the months ahead.

The updated documents also reflect that we’ve joined Facebook and that we've recently rolled out many new features, like end-to-end encryption, Whats App Calling, and messaging tools like Whats App for web and desktop. We’re notifying everyone on the latest supported versions of our app about these updates, and you’ll be asked to tap ‘Agree’ to accept the updated terms.

And we want to make these features available to everyone, not just those who can afford the most expensive new phones or live in countries with the best cellular networks.

Over the years we’ve received many requests from our users for video calling, and we’re excited to finally offer this feature to the world.

Whats App Messenger is a free, cross-platform, end-to-end encrypted instant messaging app available for Android and other smartphones.

It uses phone's Internet connection (4G/3G/2G/EDGE or Wi-Fi, as available) to make voice calls, one to one video calls; send text messages, documents, PDF files, images, GIF, videos, user location, audio files, phone contacts and voice notes to other users using standard cellular mobile numbers.

These new camera features will be rolling out on Android phones starting today and on i Phone soon.
